Our Policy

Effective February 18th, 2005

Free Trial

In your free trial period you can send as many letters to the ladies as you wish. You can receive up to five letters from the ladies. After your free trial period is over you can activate your account and continue correspondence with the ladies.

Authorization

By activating your account, you authorize this agency to charge your account for all services that you order using forms on our web-site or for which you are required to pay according to our price list. While your account is active, it will be charged automatically without special authorization for the following services, depending on the type of account: downloading/printing and translating/typing/sending letters, downloading/printing and scanning/sending pictures, translating of telephone conversations and some other regular services. By default, your account is used for all letters and photos sent by you and by all your friends. We are sorry but you cannot choose for whom you pay and for whom you do not pay when corresponding. If you send a letter to a new lady, your account will be automatically charged.

You can also use your account for English/German/French lessons, driving lessons, paperwork, flowers, cakes and other gifts. A special authorization is required (in most cases you should use order forms on our web-site).

Activating and deactivating your account

As soon as your debt exceeds the allowed limit, your account is automatically is deactivated (but not closed). Some services may become unavailable for you. The ladies will be charged for our services, which may cause inconveniences to you and your friends. You will receive messages from our Electronic Bookkeeper informing you of the debt. To re-activate your account, you should pay the debt and add more funds for additional services.

Guarantees

Opening an account or paying for our services is not a sufficient reason to remove any woman from our catalog. The agency cannot guarantee that a lady will correspond exclusively with you, fall in love with you, agree to meet you or marry you even if you open an account for correspondence with her or pay for specific services like English lessons, flowers, etc.

We can only guarantee that all the ladies are real and that our services are genuine.

Can your statement of estimated charges be changed after you received the statement?

Yes. Mistakes can occur and some charges, such as English lessons, take a few days to post to your account. If there is a mistake, we will gladly fix it. Simply write to taha@yoshkar-ola.com and all errors will be corrected promptly.

New services may be added mostly in the following cases:

  1. Between the time you set up an account and the day when it is actually activated (it may take several weeks if you send a check)
  2. if you ordered a continuous service such as English lessons, and reports about them have not been updated daily
  3. if some services were included in women's accounts as a result of a cashier's mistake but you expressed a desire to pay for them

If you receive a service that you ordered, we expect you to pay for it. Services may not show on your most recent estimated statement. In that case, we will include them on your next estimated statement. Some services, such as English lessons, require progress reports which may take a few days to obtain. The charge is final only when the service is complete.

Disputes

You can dispute any entry in your statement of estimated charges. If you think there is a mistake in your statement, you should send a message to taha@yoshkar-ola.com. To save time, please indicate the CONCRETE date and service which needs to be corrected in your opinion.

Please do not send VAGUE questions like 'I think something is wrong with my account'. Just request an itemized statements and point out concrete entries which should be corrected in your opinion. In most cases we resolve disputes in our client's favor.

    Most common mistakes:
  • You did not receive a service which is included in your statement (a letter or a photo lost in cyberspace, flowers not delivered, etc).
  • You have been charged twice for a service
  • Payment has not been credited to your account

Please note that we may put funds on hold for a service to be fulfilled later.

PLEASE DO NOT WRITE ABOUT POSSIBLE MISTAKES TO LADIES. It won't help because we never discuss the status of your account with them. Posting complaints about possible mistakes in your statement anywhere on Internet before you clear it up with us is considered a very unfriendly action towards the agency.

Closing your account

By closing your account, you agree that all your letters sent to the ladies will be automatically bounced from our server (excepting messages sent to the staff).

If you decide to close your account and be removed from all our mailing lists, we will refund 75% of the remaining funds if the balance is $20.00 or more. We will deduct 25% of the balance to cover organizational expenses. We do not refund automatically; you should send a request to taha@yoshkar-ola.com. Please be patient because it may take some time.

If the remaining balance is less than $20.00, we will not refund you and transfer all funds to local charities (please see http://www.yoshkar-ola.com/fome/).

You cannot close your account and be removed from all our mailing lists if you have a debt.

If you prefer to leave the agency in good standing and have possibility to return, you should pay the debt first (sometimes we offer to pay at least half the debt).

If you abuse the services of our agency, your account will be permanently closed.

Refund policy

We make a full or partial refund for the services which we failed to fulfill as we promised. We don't refund for translation of the letters to/from the ladies, pictures and gifts delivered if you or the lady decided not to continue.

If you paid with a credit card and want to cancel the transaction, we reserve the right to deduct 10% (as a surcharge paid to our western mediators who process our customers' credit cards) in the following cases:

  • If you made a payment by mistake (e.g. pressed the button twice);
  • If you paid for a service which is not fulfilled yet and then suddenly changed your mind;
  • If you paid for a service with a credit card for which other methods should be used without prior approval of our agency (e.g. train or plane tickets);
  • If you transferred too large an amount and do not know how to use it.

We do not refund if your account was permanently closed because you abused the services of our agency.

Disclaimer of Liability

Maksim Introductions, Virginia, its owners, and employees, are not liable to the users of this service or to its registered participants for the content, quality, performance or any other aspect of any information provided by participants and transmitted by this service or for any errors in the transmission of said information. Nor is Maksim Introductions or Virginia responsible to any person for any damages arising in any manner out of the use of this service. The users and participants acknowledge that they assume all risk and/or responsibility for any loss or damage arising from the uses to which this service is put.

Ladies' Inactive Status

Any lady that fails to be in contact with the agency for four weeks (30 days) will be placed on "inactive status". If the lady is currently in contact with a man, she must be in contact with the agency every two weeks (14 days). If the lady fails to do this, the man will be contacted by the agency on the 15th day and advised of the lady's new status. Any charges for letters during this period will be refunded. These actions are not required if the lady advises the agency prior to her leaving/unavailability that she will not be available for a specific time. Any letters from men will be held for 14 days with a status response to the men advising them of the lady's unavailability.

Indemnification

The user and/or participant shall indemnify and hold harmless Maksim Introductions or Virginia, its officers and employees, from and against any claims, liabilities, losses, costs, damages or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from the user's use of or participation in this service or the information contained thereon.
