A trip to Kazan city

Kazan - behind this word there is rich centuries-old culture of one of the most beautiful cities of Russia, reflected in the historical monuments, culture and architecture. Almost every house in Kazan could tell a story or even a whole epic peopled by historical characters and the many generations who have dwelt there.

500 miles east of Moscow on the banks of the Volga River, Kazan is home to 1 million people, a population split almost equally between Russians and Muslim Tatars.

The famous street, Bauman, is a perfect place for pastime and relaxation; with numerous boutiques, Western-style stores and restored 19th century houses it attracts tourists by its originality, places of interest during daytime and colorful lights at night.

During a day trip to Kazan you will see the city Kremlin, have a stroll on Baumana street, take pictures on the Kazanka and the Volga rivers, see world-known Palace of Kul Sharif, visit Paul and Peter's Cathedral, walk by endless number of monuments and other sights.
