Articles. In September Pertergof will celebrate its 300th anniversary

In September 2005 it will be 300 years since the foundation of the summer main imperial residence Petergof. The anniversary year will be marked by numerous celebrations, events, opening days and concerts. Officially the Anniverasary season will start on May, 28. But already on May, 8 the museum-reserve will hold a fountains' inauguration and the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Victory Day. On that day all the veterans and pensioners will be able to visit Petergof's parks and museums free of charge.

The news agency "Rosbalt" informs that by tradition the anniversary program includes such musical festivals as "Fountains' music is the music of Petergof", "Opera House in Petergof" and "St. Petersburg's Castles". They will also hold the floristic show "The Holiday of flowers in Petergof" and a night light and music pyrotechnic fountains' holyday show. Besides, they will also hold some new occasions: for example, a sailing regatta and a sailing sport festival with the guests from Scandinavia, Germany and Poland participating in it.

The tourists will also have a chance to enjoy the exclusive program "The Petergof's White Nights", the international youth musical festival "Music on the Water" and the "Petergof's assemblies" festival.
