 | Horse riding. Wanna be a Cowboy ? |
We are glad to offer a riding trip to the history of Mari El. An excellent way for all of us city slickers desperate to get out into the wilderness for a peace of nature. In olden times ancient Mari families lived in or near rural areas of the region, and valued healthy virgin nature. But today most people live in cities and towns, and many of us have lost our connection with the wild life.
We offer to take part in a horse riding trip, a unique opportunity to learn and experience the natural part of Mari El and the systems that support life.
Riding horseback you take a leisurely stroll to the lake Kundushturskoe, visit pagan praying groves, streams with "dead and alive" water.
Riding up the camp you can smell & hear the juicy steaks sizzlin' on the barbecue. Whether you're a seasoned cowboy or a first time rider this will be the highlight of your Russian vacation.
2-day program starts from Yoshlar-Ola at 1.00 pm. You will be driven to Chkarino settlement by car and arranged in the hotel. After getting settled you will be taken to the local manege (riding-hall) where have a chance of trial horse riding. That evening you will have dinner and free time before going to bed.
Next early morning after breakfast you will head to Kundushturskoe lake which is about 20 kilometers away in the forest; some most brave riding horses, the others siting in the cart. You will make several stops near most picturesque places, small streams and lakes.
Spend the whole day on the Kundushturskoe, have lunch cooked on the open fire, relax, swim in summer and of course take lots of pictures. The same day upon return to the settlement you will be driven back to Yoshkar-Ola.
